Featuring the recorded works and musical arrangements of
The music that you will hear has been written to soothe and to relax the listener. It has been inspired by the lands, the waters, the people and the animals (both domestic and feral) of the Chesapeake Bay areas of Maryland and Virginia, especially areas of the Northern Neck.
However, it applies equally to all scenic places where water, land and forest meet. Throughout the music, you will hear the sounds of rain, birds, bells, and animals. Much of the recording was done outside and live, and the sounds of nature are as much a part of the music as the written score. I like to think of my harp as an extension of all that is beautiful and peaceful in nature.
I also play, perform and compose for marimba. My concerto for marimba and orchestra to honor a friend's struggle with cancer, "Ribbon of Steel," has received favorable reviews.
Welcome and enjoy. Susan
